#100th Post- Blend And Freeze Strawberry Ice Cream

My 100th post! I never realized it till I put up the 99th. My blog is about easy and effortless cooking. I wanted this post to represent exactly that. Now that Bangalore feels like a furnace all I think of is ice cream.
This one is a no fuss recipe, just put the ingredients in a blender and freeze the lot. As simple as it can get.

Instructions
  1. Wash and chop the strawberries.
  2. Blend all the ingredients together until it turns into a smooth creamy mixture.
  3. Pour into an ice cream tray. [ My aluminium baking tins double up as ice cream trays. You could do the same].
  4. Cover with an aluminium foil and seal the edges well. [ This prevents the formation of ice crystals]
  5. Place the tray in the deep freezer.
  6. After about 2 hours, when the ice cream is semi frozen, beat it well with a balloon whisk/ fork. Seal the tray and put back in the freezer.
  7. Repeat the above step two more times with a gap of one hour in between.
  8. Allow to set for another hour before enjoying your creamy strawberry ice cream.
Recipe Notes

Notes-

The beat-freeze-refreeze - repeat step is important to get a creamy ice cream.

Do take care to seal the tray every time you put it back in the freezer. This will prevent ice crystals from forming. Ice crystals ruin the texture of the ice cream.

I hope you enjoy this as much as my family and I did.
