Baked Raw Banana Chips / Vazhakkai varaval

This one is as simple as it sounds. After i had tried my hands on crispy okra, i knew this would be a success. Vazhakkai varaval is often served as a starter in south Indian meals. These are made by deep frying the raw banana slices, until they turn crisp. Baking them is definitely a healthier option without having to compromise on the taste.

Next time the kids ask for chips, how about serving them this healthy yummy snack?

Recipe Notes

Notes-

Oven temperature and time may vary. Keeping an eye on the chips during the second round of baking is important to avoid them from getting burnt. They look yellow- brown in colour when done.

You can add different spices of your choice to suit your taste buds.

Happy Baking
