I love how this eggless tiramisu turned out. Those dessert glasses filled with coffee dipped cake and topped with whipped cream and cream cheese looked and tasted absolutely smashing.

I know it is not the “traditional way”  but you know how I am. I find ways to make life simpler and tastier . Which often means tweaking recipes to suit my mood. This cheesy coffee drenched dessert makes it totally worth it. Go ahead and indulge yourselves.

I have used these yummy coffee chocolate cupcakes to make this dessert. Drowning them in freshly brewed filter coffee decoction is all I needed to do to give this tiramisu that coffee hit.

Eggless Tiramisu In A Glass is a great party idea. An easy eggfree, boozefree recipe which can be whipped in no time. Who loves coffee and cheese?
Instructions
  1. Slice the coffee chocolate cupcakes horizontally into 2 halves.
  2. Mix the coffee decoction and cane sugar together.
  3. Dip the sliced cake into the coffee decoction and place in the dessert glasses [2 per glass]
  4. Beat the fresh cream, cream cheese , castor sugar and vanilla essence together until you get soft peaks.
  5. Transfer into a piping bag.
  6. Pipe over the moist coffee drenched cake in the glasses.
  7. Dust with some cocoa powder.
  8. Place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
  9. Serve chilled.
Recipe Notes
  1. I have used amul fresh cream for the above recipe. Chill the carton of cream in the refrigerator over night. Slit open the top and scoop out only the 'thick cream'. This makes the cream easy to whip. In case you are using a smaller carton, cut a small hole in the bottom corner to remove excess 'whey' and then scoop the remaining thick cream.
  2. You can also use dairy whipping cream, if it is easily available.
  3. The cream cheese and fresh cream must be chilled before you whip them together.
  4. You may substitute the cream cheese for mascarpone for a more authentic taste and feel.
  5. For filter coffee decoction-  Use 2 tbsps of filter coffee powder and 3/4 cup of boiling hot water to brew a strong decoction.
  6. The coffee cupcakes may be substituted with any simple sponge cake. I used these because I love coffee.
  7. You can also set this dessert with alternate 'layers' of coffee cake and cream-cheese topping.
