A yummy quick fudgy treat with the kick of freshly brewed strong filter coffee.
Melt the chocolate over a double boiler or in a microwave and set aside.
Mix the chopped nuts, cocoa powder, salt and powdered biscuits together in a large bowl.
Beat the condensed milk and coffee decoction together.
Pour this and the melted chocolate into the dry ingredients in the bowl.
Mix well with a spatula until all the ingredients come together.
Line an 8 inch square tin with parchment and grease it with a little butter.
Transfer the brownie mix into the prepared tin and spread evenly using the spatula.
Refrigerate until it sets [ for about 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes].
Cut into squares using a sharp knife and serve. Store the rest refrigerated.
These brownie bites are not too sweet. You can add a little extra condensed milk to suit your taste.
I used almonds for this recipe. Any nuts or a mix of nuts and raisins will work well.
For this recipe you can use about 20-25 marie biscuits and grind them into a fine powder in your mixer.
It is important to use a good quality strong and flavourful filter coffee powder . Coffee is the king here.
Do try and use a silicon spatula to mix and spread the brownie mix. It makes the work easy and mess-free.
Have fun and enjoy your coffee chocolate treat.
